The Elite Quality Index (EQx) 2026 will be launched on May 13 at a global hybrid event, presenting updated index results for more than 150 countries and opening the discussion on the factors that drive —or hinder— the creation of sustainable value in economies.
The Elite Quality Index provides a comparative, evidence-based perspective on how power, institutions, and the incentives of elite systems influence countries’ economic and human development. The 2026 edition highlights, in particular, divergent trajectories across Latin America, inviting deep strategic reflection.
As the regional Partner for Latin America of the EQx, SMS takes part in this global dialogue by bringing a regional perspective. As part of the event, Pablo San Martín, President of SMS, will join the analysis and discussion, sharing insights focused on Argentina, with references to Chile and Peru, and placing EQx results in dialogue with the Latin American context and the region’s development challenges.
The launch will include the presentation of global rankings, thematic analyses, and panels featuring academic leaders and international experts, centered on the theme of sustainable value creation for nations.
