On June 10 and 11, SMS participated in the VI GLENIF Congress 2026, held in Buenos Aires under the theme “15 years aligning global standards with local realities.”
Pablo San Martín, President of SMS Latinoamérica, moderated the panel on International Sustainability Standards and their connectivity with financial statements. Meanwhile, Verónica Gómez Catalano, representing the SMS Argentina Foundation, took part as a speaker in the closing session of the first day on INPAS, alongside Samantha Musoke, Director of Stakeholder Engagement and Adoption at INPAS – INPRF.
The congress brought together international leaders in the accounting profession to discuss updates from the IASB, International Sustainability Standards (IFRS S1 and S2), the 3rd edition of IFRS for SMEs, IFRS 18, and the future of corporate reporting, among other key topics on the regional agenda. Silvina Contini, Director of Quality Assurance at SMS Latinoamérica, and Pahola George, Audit Associate at SMS Buenos Aires, were also in attendance.
