That is why, on August 4, Fundación SMS, together with the University of St. Gallen, Clarín, La Nación, the Embassy of Switzerland in Argentina, and the Swiss Argentine Chamber of Commerce, presented Repensar Argentina, a forum created to reflect on and discuss institutional quality, the role of elites, the country’s strategic potential, and the challenges we must address to transform opportunities into sustainable development.
The event was based on the Elite Quality Index (EQx), which measures whether a country’s most powerful actors create value or extract it, revealing the true drivers of long-term prosperity. The EQx shows how elite business models shape the future of nations: economies driven by innovation and productive investment advance, while those dominated by rent-seeking fall behind.
